TabitabiStay「Moonlight」

[TabitabiStay Moonlight] is a traditional two-storey machiya , which was built in the Taisho era with more than one hundred years history. It uses a lot of traditional Japanese natural wood, which made its rooms present a traditional Japanese style. At the same time, the design of the hollow-out and the high ceilings and the embellishment of cement and steel elements give this machiya a sense of modernity. We hope this private residence will bring new feelings and fun to your journey.

The house comes as a two-storey detached [ Machiya] with an area of 70 square meters. The house can accommodate up to a group of five guests, who have exclusive access to all spaces.

The guests can get a straight view of the Japanese courtyard built by the old courtyard master through the floor-to-ceiling windows and doors of the living room.

The「Shigaraki-yaki」bathtub, hand-built by Japanese craftsmen, enables you to enjoy the view of the courtyard over taking a bath.

The washroom is prepared with TOTO’s flush toilet.
The fully automatic washing machine is easy to operate, making it free for you to use during your stay.

The house is located in a residential area near Nijo Station. You can reach the restaurants, subway and bus station, large supermarket, 24-hour convenience store and Pharmacy in five minutes by walk.
The neighborhood have good manner and the traditional residential area has good security.

Four minutes walk from Nijo Station, which is located in the center of Kyoto and is the transportation hub of Kyoto. You can directly reach famous sights such as Kamogawa, Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Kinkakuji Temple, and Mount Arashiyama by subway or bus.

To protect your comfort and privacy, we only rent out to one group of guests per day. No matter how many people you have, you won't be sharing any space and facilities with strangers.
